WUHAN, China—A Chinese doctor who became a folk hero after he was arrested for warning about the dangers of the deadly new virus now spreading around the world died on Friday after becoming infected with it.
Li Wenliang, a 33-year-old ophthalmologist based in Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak, had captivated the country and triggered an extraordinary outpouring of emotion as he ailed.
In social-media posts, many Chinese directed their frustration at government officials who many believe didn’t respond quickly enough despite clear evidence of the developing epidemic. Millions of people flocked to a live stream about Dr. Li that was run by local media outside the hospital where he was being treated.
“An all-out effort to save him was unsuccessful,” the hospital said. “We deeply grieve the loss.”
The World Health Organization on Thursday reported 28,285 confirmed cases globally, including more than 3,700 new ones. A total of 565 people have died, it said. Singapore, which has the second-largest number of cases outside China, reported two new infections, including one with no apparent link to China.
Chinese state media reported Thursday night that Dr. Li’s heart had stopped at around 9:30 p.m., and that he was immediately put on life support. The hospital where Dr. Li was being treated later said authorities were still fighting to keep him alive and then announced his death at 2:58 a.m. Friday.
After initial reports of Dr. Li’s death began circulating online late Thursday in China, including from the official social-media accounts of Communist Party publications, he was mourned and celebrated as a symbol of the public’s determination to find answers to still-unanswered questions about how officials first responded to the outbreak.
Coronaviruses are common in many different species of animals, including camels and bats. Rarely, these coronaviruses can evolve and infect humans and then spread between humans. Recent examples of this include SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV.
Most coronaviruses infect animals, but not people. In the future, one or more of these other coronaviruses could potentially evolve and spread to humans, as has happened in the past. We still don’t understand why only certain coronaviruses are able to infect people.
Common human coronaviruses
Common human coronaviruses, including types 229E, NL63, OC43, and HKU1, usually cause mild to moderate upper-respiratory tract illnesses, like the common cold. Most people get infected with these viruses at some point in their lives. These illnesses usually only last for a short amount of time. Symptoms may include
runny nose
headache
cough
sore throat
fever
a general feeling of being unwell
Human coronaviruses can sometimes cause lower-respiratory tract illnesses, such as pneumonia or bronchitis. This is more common in people with cardiopulmonary disease, people with weakened immune systems, infants, and older adults.
Transmission
Human coronaviruses most commonly spread from an infected person to others through
the air by coughing and sneezing
close personal contact, such as touching or shaking hands
touching an object or surface with the virus on it, then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes before washing your hands
rarely, fecal contamination
In the United States, people usually get infected with common human coronaviruses in the fall and winter. However, you can get infected at any time of the year. Most people will get infected with one or more of the common human coronaviruses in their lifetime. Young children are most likely to get infected. However, people can have multiple infections in their lifetime.
Other human coronaviruses
Most people confirmed to have MERS-CoV infection have had severe respiratory illness with symptoms of:
fever
cough
shortness of breath
Some people also had diarrhea and nausea/vomiting. For many people with MERS, more severe complications followed, such as pneumonia and kidney failure. About 3 or 4 out of every 10 people reported with MERS have died. Most of the people who died had a pre-existing medical condition that weakened their immune system, or an underlying medical condition that hadn’t yet been discovered. Medical conditions sometimes weaken people’s immune systems and make them more likely to get sick or have severe illness.
Pre-existing conditions among people who got MERS have included
diabetes
cancer
chronic lung disease
chronic heart disease
chronic kidney disease
Some infected people had mild symptoms (such as cold-like symptoms) or no symptoms at all.
The symptoms of MERS start to appear about 5 or 6 days after a person is exposed, but can range from 2 to 14 days.
The coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, China, raised global concerns but, after a two day meeting, the World Health Organization has issued a statement saying the situation is not yet an emergency of international concern.
Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is monitoring the situation and will provide updated information as it becomes available. In addition, Mayo Clinic continues to closely monitor the coronavirus outbreak and says staff is trained and prepared to care for patients, should the need arise. Dr. Pritish Tosh, a Mayo Clinic infectious diseases specialist, says health care providers need to ask patients with respiratory illness and fever about their recent travel. “It’s important we focus on patients with fever and respiratory symptoms, not just for the novel coronavirus, but also for other respiratory viruses that are circulating, such as influenza,” says Dr. Tosh. “Once these patients are identified, they should be given a mask to wear and put into a room where a health care provider can ask them about recent travel.” Dr. Tosh adds, “They may have been to a part of the Middle East where there is ongoing MERS (Middle East respiratory syndrome) infections. They may also have been in Wuhan, China, or been close to someone who has been there.” The coronavirus is in the same family of viruses as SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) and MERS.
Two men who worked for the El Campanario Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary have been found dead within days of each other.
Both men fought for the conservation of monarch butterflies and the woods in which they hibernate in.
Homero Gomez and Raul Hernandez worked at the butterfly sanctuary in Michoacan state.
Hernandez’s body, which bore signs of beatings and a head injury, was found two days after the funeral of Homero Gomez.
Homero Gomez disappeared on 13 January. Gomez’s body was found in a well on 29 January. Gomez managed the monarch butterfly sanctuary and had received threats, his family said.
Raúl Hernández, was a guide and disappeared on Monday 27 January. His body was found a week later at the top of a hill in the sanctuary.
Forensic experts said his body was covered in bruises and he had a deep wound to his head. An investigation into his death is under way.
Gomez’s family said that prior to his disappearance, the activist had received threats warning him to stop his campaign against illegal logging.

Usually you replace your dentures every 3 to 5 years. If you don’t donate them at your dentist office they are probably laying around collecting dust at your house. Put them to good use.
The Japan Denture Recycling Association, is a nonprofit organization since December 2006. JDRA recycles the metal from used dentures and donates the money to UNICEF to support underprivileged children in the world.
All you have to do is sanitize the dentures. You can do so by boiling some water and placing the dentures in a glass bowl and pour water over the dentures. Let the dentures soak until water is cool. Remove dentures, dry off, wrap in plastic wrap and place in envelope or small box and mail them off.

The ketogenic diet is all about eating the right foods in the right proportions. When you get it right, it’ll trigger your body to start burning stored fat.
Is it a Diet or is it a Lifestyle change? That’s the question… Are you seeking to medically repair an illness or weight loss permantely.
In the 1920’s it was medically introduced to treat epilepsy in children. Today it helps diabetics regulate their blood sugar levels. It’s also being introduced to cancer patients for weight control.
Yes, you can use it as a diet method and loose the weight you need and go back to the same old lifestyle. But, by returning to sugar and yeast you are creating a YO-YO diet lifestyle. It’s better to try and balance a nutrious diet.
What foods can you eat?
Ewoldt says:
nuts
seeds
full-fat cheese and other dairy products
plain Greek yogurt
non-starchy and fibrous vegetables
oils
along with smaller amounts of meats, eggs and fish, become keto diet mainstays.
You’ll need to sharply limit carbohydrates
bread and baked goods
sweets
pasta
breakfast cereals
starchy vegetables like potatoes, sweet potatoes
corn and peas
beans
fruit
beer
Does it really work for weight loss?
Yes — but that answer comes with a qualifier. It takes two to three weeks on the diet to start fat burning (ketosis) in the body. So, don’t expect instant results. Some studies have shown that adhering to low- or very-low-carbohydrate ketogenic diets helps people lose weight. However, long term there is little difference between a ketogenic diet and a higher carbohydrate diet.
Ketogenic diet for Epilepsy
The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that in medicine is used primarily to treat difficult-to-control epilepsy in children and now for adults.
The diet forces the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates. Normally, the carbohydrates contained in food are converted into glucose, which is then transported around the body and is particularly important in fueling brain function.
However, if little carbohydrate remains in the diet, the liver converts fat into fatty acids and ketone bodies. The ketone bodies pass into the brain and replace glucose as an energy source.
An elevated level of ketone bodies in the blood, a state known as ketosis, leads to a reduction in the frequency of epileptic seizures.
Around half of children and young people with epilepsy who have tried some form of this diet saw the number of seizures drop by at least half, and the effect persists even after discontinuing the diet.
Some evidence indicates that adults with epilepsy may benefit from the diet, and that a less strict regimen, such as a modified Atkins diet, is similarly effective.

People with an increased risk of lung cancer may consider annual lung cancer screening using low-dose CT scans. Lung cancer screening is generally offered to people 55 and older who smoked heavily for many years and are otherwise healthy.
Discuss your lung cancer risk with your doctor. Together you can decide whether lung cancer screening is right for you.
Tests to diagnose lung cancer
If there’s reason to think that you may have lung cancer, your doctor can order a number of tests to look for cancerous cells and to rule out other conditions.
Tests may include:
Imaging tests. An X-ray image of your lungs may reveal an abnormal mass or nodule. A CT scan can reveal small lesions in your lungs that might not be detected on an X-ray.
Sputum cytology. If you have a cough and are producing sputum, looking at the sputum under the microscope can sometimes reveal the presence of lung cancer cells.
Tissue sample (biopsy). A sample of abnormal cells may be removed in a procedure called a biopsy. Your doctor can perform a biopsy in a number of ways, including bronchoscopy, in which your doctor examines abnormal areas of your lungs using a lighted tube that’s passed down your throat and into your lungs; mediastinoscopy, in which an incision is made at the base of your neck and surgical tools are inserted behind your breastbone to take tissue samples from lymph nodes; and needle biopsy, in which your doctor uses X-ray or CT images to guide a needle through your chest wall and into the lung tissue to collect suspicious cells. A biopsy sample may also be taken from lymph nodes or other areas where cancer has spread, such as your liver.
Careful analysis of your cancer cells in a lab will reveal what type of lung cancer you have. Results of sophisticated testing can tell your doctor the specific characteristics of your cells that can help determine your prognosis and guide your treatment.
Tests to determine the extent of the cancer
Once your lung cancer has been diagnosed, your doctor will work to determine the extent (stage) of your cancer. Your cancer’s stage helps you and your doctor decide what treatment is most appropriate.
Staging tests may include imaging procedures that allow your doctor to look for evidence that cancer has spread beyond your lungs. These tests include CT, MRI, positron emission tomography (PET) and bone scans. Not every test is appropriate for every person, so talk with your doctor about which procedures are right for you.
The stages of lung cancer are indicated by Roman numerals that range from 0 to IV, with the lowest stages indicating cancer that is limited to the lung. By stage IV, the cancer is considered advanced and has spread to other areas of the body.
You and your doctor choose a cancer treatment plan based on a number of factors, such as your overall health, the type and stage of your cancer, and your preferences.
In some cases, you may choose not to undergo treatment. For instance, you may feel that the side effects of treatment will outweigh the potential benefits. When that’s the case, your doctor may suggest comfort care to treat only the symptoms the cancer is causing, such as pain or shortness of breath.
Surgery
During surgery your surgeon works to remove the lung cancer and a margin of healthy tissue. Procedures to remove lung cancer include:
Wedge resection to remove a small section of lung that contains the tumor along with a margin of healthy tissue
Segmental resection to remove a larger portion of lung, but not an entire lobe
Lobectomy to remove the entire lobe of one lung
Pneumonectomy to remove an entire lung
If you undergo surgery, your surgeon may also remove lymph nodes from your chest in order to check them for signs of cancer.
Surgery may be an option if your cancer is confined to the lungs. If you have a larger lung cancer, your doctor may recommend chemotherapy or radiation therapy before surgery in order to shrink the cancer. If there’s a risk that cancer cells were left behind after surgery or that your cancer may recur, your doctor may recommend chemotherapy or radiation therapy after surgery.
Radiation therapy
Radiation therapy uses high-powered energy beams from sources such as X-rays and protons to kill cancer cells. During radiation therapy, you lie on a table while a machine moves around you, directing radiation to precise points on your body.
For people with locally advanced lung cancer, radiation may be used before surgery or after surgery. It’s often combined with chemotherapy treatments. If surgery isn’t an option, combined chemotherapy and radiation therapy may be your primary treatment.
For advanced lung cancers and those that have spread to other areas of the body, radiation therapy may help relieve symptoms, such as pain.
Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy uses drugs to kill cancer cells. One or more chemotherapy drugs may be given through a vein in your arm (intravenously) or taken orally. A combination of drugs usually is given in a series of treatments over a period of weeks or months, with breaks in between so that you can recover.
Chemotherapy is often used after surgery to kill any cancer cells that may remain. It can be used alone or combined with radiation therapy. Chemotherapy may also be used before surgery to shrink cancers and make them easier to remove.
In people with advanced lung cancer, chemotherapy can be used to relieve pain and other symptoms.
Radiosurgery
Stereotactic body radiotherapy, also known as radiosurgery, is an intense radiation treatment that aims many beams of radiation from many angles at the cancer. Stereotactic body radiotherapy treatment is typically completed in one or a few treatments.
Radiosurgery may be an option for people with small lung cancers who can’t undergo surgery. It may also be used to treat lung cancer that spreads to other parts of the body, including the brain.
Targeted drug therapy
Targeted drug treatments focus on specific abnormalities present within cancer cells. By blocking these abnormalities, targeted drug treatments can cause cancer cells to die.
Many targeted therapy drugs are used to treat lung cancer, though most are reserved for people with advanced or recurrent cancer.
Some targeted therapies only work in people whose cancer cells have certain genetic mutations. Your cancer cells may be tested in a laboratory to see if these drugs might help you.
Immunotherapy
Immunotherapy uses your immune system to fight cancer. Your body’s disease-fighting immune system may not attack your cancer because the cancer cells produce proteins that blind the immune system cells. Immunotherapy works by interfering with that process.
Immunotherapy treatments are generally reserved for people with advanced lung cancer.
Palliative care
People with lung cancer often experience signs and symptoms of the cancer, as well as side effects of treatment. Supportive care, also known as palliative care, is a specialty area of medicine that involves working with a doctor to minimize your signs and symptoms.
Your doctor may recommend that you meet with a palliative care team soon after your diagnosis to ensure that you’re comfortable during and after your cancer treatment.
In one study, people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer who began receiving supportive care soon after their diagnosis lived longer than those who continued with treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiation. Those receiving supportive care reported improved mood and quality of life. They survived, on average, almost three months longer than did those receiving standard care.
Proton therapy is a type of radiation therapy — a treatment that uses high-energy beams to treat tumors. Radiation therapy using X-rays has long been used to treat cancers and noncancerous (benign) tumors. Proton therapy is a newer type of radiation therapy that uses energy from positively charged particles called protons.
Proton therapy has shown promise in treating several kinds of cancer. Studies have suggested that proton therapy may cause fewer side effects than traditional radiation, since doctors can better control where the proton beams deposit their energy. But few studies have directly compared proton therapy radiation and X-ray radiation, so it’s not clear whether proton therapy is more effective in prolonging lives.
Proton therapy isn’t widely available in the United States.
This is the machine that delivers the treatment.
Why it’s done
Proton therapy is used as a treatment for cancer and some noncancerous tumors. Proton therapy may be used as the only treatment for your condition. Or it may be used in conjunction with other treatments, such as surgery and chemotherapy.
Proton therapy is sometimes used to treat:
Brain tumors
Breast cancer
Cancer in children
Eye melanoma
Esophageal cancer
Head and neck cancers
Liver cancer
Lung cancer
Pituitary gland tumors
Prostate cancer
Sarcoma
Tumors affecting the spine
Tumors in the base of the skull
Clinical trials are investigation proton therapy as a treatment for a number of other types of cancer.
Risks
Proton therapy can cause side effects as the cancer cells die or when the energy from the proton beam damages healthy tissue.
Because doctors can better control where proton therapy releases its highest concentration of energy, proton therapy is believed to affect less healthy tissue and have fewer side effects than traditional radiation therapy. Still, proton therapy does release some of its energy in healthy tissue.
What side effects you experience will depend on what part of your body is being treated and the dose of proton therapy you receive.
In general, common side effects of proton therapy include:
Fatigue
Mouth, eating and digestion problems
Headaches
Hair loss around the part of your body being treated
Skin redness around the part of your body being treated
Soreness around the part of your body being treated
How you prepare
Before you undergo proton therapy, your health care team guides you through a planning process to ensure that the proton beam reaches the precise spot in your body where it’s needed.
Planning typically includes:
Determining the best position for you during treatment. During radiation simulation, your radiation therapy team works to find a comfortable position for you during treatment. It’s imperative that you lie still during treatment, so finding a comfortable position is vital. To do this, you’ll be positioned on a table that will be used during your treatment. Cushions and restraints are used to place you in the correct position and to help you hold still. Your radiation therapy team will mark the area of your body that will receive the radiation. Depending on your situation, you may receive temporary marking with a marker or you may receive permanent tattoos.
Planning the path of the protons with imaging tests. Your radiation therapy team may have you undergo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computerized tomography (CT) scans to determine the area of your body to be treated and how best to reach it with the proton beams.
Consider the cost
Proton therapy is a newer form of radiation therapy that may be more expensive than traditional radiation therapy with X-rays. Not all insurance policies cover proton therapy. When considering your treatment options, work with your health insurance provider to understand what costs are covered by insurance and which costs you’ll be expected to pay.
What you can expect
During proton therapy
You typically undergo proton therapy five days a week for several weeks. However, in some cases, you may undergo only one or only a few treatments, depending on your condition. The actual proton therapy treatment may take only a minute or so, but expect to spend 30 to 45 minutes preparing before each treatment session.
You may also undergo weekly CT verification scans to see if the dose you receive needs to be recalculated based on changes in weight, or tumor size and shape, depending on your situation.
To prepare, you’ll be positioned on a table. Cushions and restraints will be used to hold your body still. Then you’ll undergo an imaging test, such as an X-ray or CT scan, to make sure your body is in the same precise position before each treatment.
Your radiation therapy team will then leave the room and go to an area where they can monitor you. They can still see and hear you.
What you experience next depends on the type of proton therapy machine your treatment team uses:
A proton therapy machine that rotates around you. If you’re undergoing proton therapy with a machine called a gantry, you’ll be placed on a table that is slowly slid into the circular opening of the machine. The machine rotates around you to direct proton beams at precise points on your body.
A proton therapy machine that doesn’t move. If you’re undergoing proton therapy with a fixed-beam machine, the table you’re positioned on will move and the proton therapy machine will remain still. The movement of your table during treatment is controlled remotely by your radiation therapy team. How often your table moves during treatment depends on your situation.
You won’t be able to feel the radiation during your proton therapy treatment.
After proton therapy
Once your treatment session is complete, you can go about your day. You won’t be radioactive or give off radiation.
Side effects of radiation usually develop over time. You may experience few side effects at first. But after several treatments you may experience fatigue, which can make it feel like your usual activities take more energy or that you have little energy for everyday tasks. You may also notice a sunburn-like skin redness in the area where the proton beams are directed.
Results
Your doctor may recommend periodic imaging tests during and after your proton therapy to determine whether your cancer is responding to the treatments. How often you’ll undergo scans depends on your situation.
ASK YOUR DOCTOR WHAT YOUR OPTIONS ARE BEFORE YOU DECIDE ON A TREATMENT.

We are living longer with medical conditions that require help of some sort. We need to be ready for the unfortunate medical events, death or living longer and needing care.
Not wanting to burden family members with the financial task there are insurances that you can purchase. Better to have everything prepared ahead of time.
There are many insurance policies that are geared towards long living with medical conditions like Alzheimer’s, dementia ALS or any other debilitating illness.
Long-Term Care Insurance Vs. Assisted Living Insurance these are 2 very different insurance plans.
Long-term care insurance is a policy designed to cover at least some of your expenses if you have a chronic but not life-threatening illness, long-term disability, or you are unable to live independently because you can’t perform a number of the activities of daily living. Those activities typically include bathing, dressing, feeding yourself, taking medication, using the bathroom, and being able to move from a sitting to a standing position. Most contracts also cover cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer’s disease. Under the terms of most long-term care contracts, you can be cared for in a nursing home or at home. The insurance pays for custodial rather than skilled care, which must be provided by licensed professionals. Skilled care is covered in part by Medicare and Medigap.
Assistedliving is a type of housing that seniors move into when they are fairly healthy but need a bit of extra help, says Colleen Dennis, case management team manager with Genworth Insurance. “They typically provide room and board, meals and some level of nursing oversight.
The type of facility will depend on the level of care needed. Plan pricing will depend on which type of facility you will be able to qualify for.
Final Expense Insurance is designed to cover the bills that your loved ones will face after your death. These costs will include medical bills and funeral expenses. … Final expense insurance is also known as burial insurance.
Life Insurance is another type. There are two basic types: term and permanent. Term insurance is less expensive and has a set timeframe. Permanent life insurance lasts your entire lifetime (assuming you continue to pay the premiums) and is divided into two sub-types: whole life and universal life. Picking which type is best for your family depends on several factors, including your budget and how the funds are accessed.
While permanent life insurance is generally more expensive than term life insurance, permanent policies can guarantee there is money for your kids and possibly your grandchildren. Benefit amounts range from $50,000 to more than $1 million and are paid even if you live past 100. A term life insurance policy, by comparison, covers you for a set amount of time.
There are many agencies to choose from. Just check the reputation of the insurance company. There are about 5 top insurance companies with excellent reputations.
Remain vigilant about safety in and around the home this winter. Here are three winter hazards to keep in mind.
First, Carbon Monoxide – The Invisible Killer
Use portable generators outside your home and place them at least 20 feet away from the residence with exhaust pointed away from spaces where it can gather and present a hazard. Never use a generator inside a home, basement, shed or garage. The exhaust from portable generators contains poisonous carbon monoxide (CO), which can kill in minutes.
Most portable generator-related deaths from CO poisoning occur during the cold months.
Never leave a car running in a garage, even with the garage door open.
Install CO alarms in your home on every level and outside all sleeping areas. Test CO alarms monthly.
Your space heater needs space. Keep flammable objects, such as curtains, sofas, beds, clothes and papers at least 3 feet away from your space heater at all times.
Make sure your space heater is placed on a stable, level, flat surface in an area where it can’t be knocked over.
Turn off space heaters when you are sleeping, or when you leave the room.
Install smoke alarms on every floor of your home, outside all sleeping areas, and inside each bedroom. Test smoke alarms once a month to make sure they are working.
Third, Snow Blower Hazards – Clear Snow Safely
Most snow blower injuries happen when consumers try to clear snow from the discharge chute with their hands.
NEVER leave a gas-powered snow blower running in an enclosed area. The exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide, which can kill in minutes.
Don’t add gasoline to a running or hot engine, to avoid a fire; and always keep the gasoline in a portable gasoline container with a child-resistant closure to prevent child poisonings.
One more very important thing… Clear the snow away from your gas meter and away from any pipes around that area.
You can also make a paste with the raisins and walnuts. It becomes a very smooth buttery experience for the thinner pastry dough.
Dough Ingredients
1 cup Water
3/8 cup Milk (Whole)
3/4 Stick Butter (chopped into tiny pieces and evenly placed in the pan)
1 and 3/4 teaspoon Salt (on the Left side top corner of the pan)
4 cups Flour (in the center place a shallow divot to place yeast ans a little sugar)
2 tablespoons Sugar (on the bottom right corner and a small sprinkle in the divot maybe 1/4 teaspoon)(Real Sugar, No Substitute)( Trust me, it won’t hurt you)
2 and 1/4 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast ( place in pivot on top of sprinkled sugar)(NO QUICK YEAST) Old Fashion kind…
While your bread machine makes the dough get all your other ingredients together.
Soak the cup of raisins in 1/4 cup of warm water for at least 45 minutes. I just let them soak until my dough is ready. Drain and set aside. If you are using the raisin paste its better to make the paste a day ahead. Remove from refrigerator at least 2 hours prior. Must be at room temperature.
Let’s get the nitty gritty out of the way first.. What is this pain in my anus?
Hemorrhoids (HEM-uh-roids), also called piles, are swollen veins in your anus and lower rectum, similar to varicose veins. Hemorrhoids can develop inside the rectum (internal hemorrhoids) or under the skin around the anus (external hemorrhoids).
Nearly three out of four adults will have hemorrhoids from time to time. Hemorrhoids have a number of causes, but often the cause is unknown.
Symptoms
Signs and symptoms of hemorrhoids usually depend on the type of hemorrhoid.
External hemorrhoids
These are under the skin around your anus. Signs and symptoms might include:
Itching or irritation in your anal region
Pain or discomfort
Swelling around your anus
Bleeding
Internal hemorrhoids
Internal hemorrhoids lie inside the rectum. You usually can’t see or feel them, and they rarely cause discomfort. But straining or irritation when passing stool can cause:
Painless bleeding during bowel movements. You might notice small amounts of bright red blood on your toilet tissue or in the toilet.
A hemorrhoid to push through the anal opening (prolapsed or protruding hemorrhoid), resulting in pain and irritation.
Thrombosed hemorrhoids
If blood pools in an external hemorrhoid and forms a clot (thrombus), it can result in:
Severe pain
Swelling
Inflammation
A hard lump near your anus
When to see a doctor
If you have bleeding during bowel movements or you have hemorrhoids that don’t improve after a week of home care, talk to your doctor.
Don’t assume rectal bleeding is due to hemorrhoids, especially if you have changes in bowel habits or if your stools change in color or consistency. Rectal bleeding can occur with other diseases, including colorectal cancer and anal cancer.
Seek emergency care if you have large amounts of rectal bleeding, lightheadedness, dizziness or faintness.
OMG.. You just want to shout…
I had a heart attack a few months back and I have been on blood thinners for 4 months. My hair stopped growing and an extra special event of Hemorrhoids came along at 3 months and 2 weeks into the medication. At first I didn’t realize how bad they had gotten until I woke up and found it very painful to walk.
OMG… What pain… I tried Apple Cider Vinegar it was not enough. I did not have any Witch Hazel.
Fortunately, I had Melaleuca Tea Tree Oil T36-C5 in the cabinet. Because these Hemorrhoids were to much for the Apple Cider Vinegar to handle.
There are many effective options available to treat hemorrhoids. Many people get relief with home treatments. So never be afraid to keep some of these remedies in your medicine cabinet.
I first applied a weaken solution of 3 drops Tea Tree Oil and a splash of water on a cotton ball. Laid down and tucked that cottonball away between my checks and it stayed there for 2 hours. It relieved my pain with a cool soothing feeling compared to the burning sensation of the ACV. I did that for two days. They were going down but it was still very painful.
I decided to go to full strength on the 3rd day. I took a cotton swap and 2 drops. I made sure I coated the outside really well and I started trying to insert the tip into the inside. It was swollen I really could not get it to go in. Later that night I did it again. I noticed I was able to get the tip in a little. That over whelming feeling of a cool sensation was spreading up inside. That became a wonderful feeling.
The next morning I felt so much better and things were getting back to normal. So short story. Keep stuff available to heal yourself at home.

Prep Time: 60 minutes Yield: 1 pie crust 9″ or 10″ inch Skill Level: Easy beginner Kitchen Appliance: Food Processor
Best Pie Crust buttery flakey
This pie crust can be used for sweet or savory pies. Its light and flakey.
Butter and Shortening Crust
Ingredients for one double-crust 9 inch or 10 inch pie:
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons sugar
3/4 cup (a stick and a half) unsalted butter, chilled, cut into 1/4 inch cubes
1/2 cup of all-vegetable shortening (8 Tbsp)
6-8 Tablespoons ice water
Make the dough: Combine flour, salt, and sugar in a food processor; pulse to mix. Add the butter and pulse 4 times.
Add shortening in tablespoon sized chunks, and pulse 4 more times. The mixture should resemble coarse cornmeal, with butter bits no bigger than peas.
Sprinkle 6 tablespoons of ice water over flour mixture. Pulse a couple times. If you pinch some of the crumbly dough and it holds together, it’s ready.
If the dough doesn’t hold together, keep adding water, a teaspoon at a time, pulsing once after each addition, until the mixture just begins to clump together.
Form disks: Remove dough from machine and place in a mound on a clean surface.
Divide the dough into 2 balls and flatten each into 4 inch wide disks.
Do not over-knead the dough!
Dust the disks lightly with flour, wrap each in plastic, and refrigerate for at least an hour, or up to 2 days before rolling out.
Roll out the dough: After the dough has chilled in the refrigerator for an hour, you can take it out to roll. If it is too stiff, you may need to let it sit for 5-10 minutes at room temperature before rolling.
Sprinkle a little flour on a flat, clean work surface and on top of the disk of dough you intend to roll out.
Using a rolling pin, apply light pressure while rolling outwards from the center of the dough.
Every once in a while you may need to gently lift under the dough (a pastry scraper works great for this) to make sure it is not sticking.
You have a big enough piece of dough when you place the pie tin or pie dish upside down on the dough and the dough extends by at least 2 inches all around.
Place into pie dish: When the dough has reached the right size, gently fold it in half. Lift up the dough and place it so that the folded edge is along the center line of the pie dish. Gently unfold. Do not stretch the dough.
Trim edges: If you are only making a single crust pie, use a pair of kitchen scissors to trim the dough to within 1/2 inch of the lip of the dish. Tuck the overhang underneath itself along the edge of the pie dish. Use your fingers in a pinching motion, or the tines of a fork to crimple the edge of the pie crust.
If you are making a double crust pie, roll out the second disk of dough. Gently place onto the top of the filling in the pie. Use a kitchen scissors to trim the overhang to an inch over. Fold the edge of the top piece of dough over and under the edge of the bottom piece of dough, pressing together. Finish the double crust by pressing against the edges of the pie with your finger tips or with a fork.
Make vents in top: Use a sharp knife to cut vents into the top of the pie crust, so the steam has a place to escape while the pie is cooking.
Optional Before scoring, you may want to paint the top of your crust with an egg wash (this will make a nice finish).
Egg Wash
A lovely coating for a pie can be achieved with a simple egg wash.
1 Tbsp heavy cream, half and half, or milk
1 large egg yolk
Beat egg yolk with cream and brush on the surface of the pie with a pastry brush.
HEART DIEASE CLAIMS THE LIFE OF A WOMAN EVERY MINUTE.
Uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain in the center of your chest. It lasts more than a few minutes, or goes away and comes back.
Pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach.
Shortness of breath with or without chest discomfort.
Other signs such as breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness.
As with men, women’s most common heart attack symptom is chest pain or discomfort. But women are somewhat more likely than men to experience some of the other common symptoms, particularly shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting and back or jaw pain.
You may think you have indigestion, heartburn or discomfort in your chest. The doctor told me that it was just heart burn and prescribed antacids. I had 6 heart attacks in 4 days. I was taking apple cider vinegar thinking it was heartburn. I think it saved my life. I have a new doctor now!!!

Egg products, such as egg whites or egg yolks, supply coating, gloss or finishing to foods within the baking category. Consumers expect a certain appearance on the outside of baked goods, such as color or finish. Food color overall is an indicator of quality, including the color of finished baked products. The proper coating or finish not only aids with appearance but can also help extend shelf life by sealing in moisture.
Slightly beaten liquid egg products can serve as a coating or glaze on baked goods, with different variations of the egg mixture according to the desired appearance and texture of the final product. A baker might select either egg yolk, egg white or whole eggs for varying results.
The white is the primary source of proteins in an egg. When whites alone are used as a coating the proteins coagulate and draw moisture from the product, with eventually evaporates, resulting in a crisp surface. An egg wash can also give the baked product a finished, slightly glossy look. Protein browns when exposed to heat, so the addition of an egg wash helps give baked goods a bronzed sheen, in addition to the gloss.
Slightly beaten yolk or eggs, brushed onto surface of unbaked good helps prevent crust from drying out and lends a glossy look. Added at a certain stage in the baking process, the egg wash can help prevent overbrowning. However in order to seal in moisture, yolks must be used in the egg wash.
An egg wash application is common not just for bread, but also different types of pastries or pies, to promote browning, create a glossy shine or both. A variety of other ingredients added in different proportions to the selected egg product (whole egg, egg white or egg yolk), will supply different levels of browning, shine and even texture to the crust surface

This pie crust can be used for sweet or savory pies. Its light and flakey.
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for rolling
1 cup (2 sticks or 8 ounces) unsalted butter, very-cold, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
6 to 8 tablespoons ice water
Mix flour, sugar, and salt: Put flour, sugar, and salt into the bowl of a food processor and pulse a couple times to mix.
Add butter, half at a time, pulsing several times after each addition: Add about half of the butter to the food processor and pulse several times. Then add the rest of the butter and pulse 6 to 8 times until the largest pieces of butter are about the size of large peas.
Slowly add ice water: Sprinkle the mixture with about 1/4 cup of ice water (make sure there are no ice cubes in the water!) and pulse again. Then add more ice water, a tablespoon at a time, pulsing once or twice after each addition until the dough just barely begins to hold together.
You know that the mixture is ready if when you pinch some of the crumbly dough together with your fingers, it holds together. Be cautious with the amount of water you add, too much and the crust will be tough.
Make two dough disks: Carefully empty the crumbly dough mixture from the food processor on to a clean, dry, flat surface. Gather the mixture in a mound.
Divide the dough mixture into two even-sized mounds. Use your hands and knead each mound just enough to form each one into a disk. Do not over-knead! Kneading develops gluten which will toughen the dough, not something you want in a pastry crust. You should just knead enough so that the dough holds together without cracks.
If you started with cold butter you should be able to see small chunks of butter speckling the dough. This is a good thing. These small bits of butter will spread out into layers as the crust cooks so you have a flaky crust!
Sprinkle each disk with a little flour, wrap each one in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for one hour or up to 2 days.
4 Remove dough from refrigerator and let sit for a few minutes: Remove one crust disk from the refrigerator. Let sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes in order to soften just enough to make rolling out a bit easier.
5 Roll out dough, place in pie dish: Roll out with a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface to a 12-inch circle; about 1/8 of an inch thick. As you roll out the dough, check if the dough is sticking to the surface below. If necessary, add a few sprinkles of flour under the dough to keep the dough from sticking.
Carefully place onto a 9-inch pie plate. Gently press the pie dough down so that it lines the bottom and sides of the pie plate.
Use a pair of kitchen scissors to trim the dough to within 1/2 inch of the edge of the pie dish.
Preheat oven to: See chart below
6 Add filling to the pie.
7 Roll out second disk, place on top of filling: Roll out second disk of dough, as before. Gently place onto the top of the filling in the pie.
Trim excess dough with kitchen shears, leaving a 3/4 inch overhang. Fold the edge of the top piece of dough over and under the edge of the bottom piece of dough, pressing together.
Flute edges using thumb and forefinger or press with a fork.
Score the top of the pie with four 2-inch long cuts, so that steam from the cooking pie can escape. You can be creative and cut small slit designs such as leaves or stars from a couple of spots or a circle.
When you are all finished make sure you always egg wash the top crust. Gives it a nice sheen and golden brown to the pies.
BAKING
Baking instructions for different types of fillings is very important. It can range depending on the type, depth of the pie, is it single or double crust? You will have to look up the directions for each one.
So much to be discovered in the world of CBD treatments. As soon as we all get away from the stigma that has been placed on a wonderful plant that can help with so many illnesses in so many ways.
Other countries have been testing and experimenting with their patients and CBD for many years, since the early 1920’s. Some say the Egyptians treated illnesses with CBD Hemp Marijuana dates back 3000 years. During the early years of this planet they used herbs and plants native to their areas to use as medicine. This plant was placed on this earth for a reason. Every plant on this earth has a medicinal use of some sort. Some we can even use as poison to kill off bad cells in our bodies. Natural medicine is the answer for so many medical uses .
It was prohibition that caused the medical society to put CBD Hemp Tinctures on the back burner and call it “A MONSTER” that created people to act crazy. We all know that was Alcohol and is to this day and not CBD , Marijuana, Hemp, Grass, Pot and Etc nicknames.
Actually all products and Bi-Products of THC does not make the people go all crazy. Actually opposite of that. They are very mellow and avoid any type of aggressive behavior unlike what we see with alcohol.
Non-Psychoactive
CBD is non-psychoactive because it does not act on the same pathways as the Psychoactive counterparts. These pathways in the brain, called CB1 receptors, are responsible for the psychoactive effects. The .3% or less standard has been established by the FDA as a trace amount with no psychoactive impacts on the human brain.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid constituent of cannabis. It was discovered in 1940 and initially thought not to be pharmaceutically active. It is one of at least 113 cannabinoids identified in hemp plants, accounting for up to 40% of the plant’s extract. As of 2018 in the United States, Food and Drug Administration approval of cannabidiol as a prescription drug called Epidiolex for medical uses has been limited to two rare forms of childhood epilepsy.
Cannabidiol can be taken into the body in multiple different ways, including by inhalation of cannabis smoke or vapor, as an aerosol spray into the cheek, and by mouth. It may be supplied as an oil containing only CBD as the active ingredient (no added THC or terpenes), a full-plant CBD-dominant hemp extract oil, capsules, dried cannabis, or as a prescription liquid solution.
Crystal Isolates is a high-end vapor liquid and oral drops infused with premium CBD rich hemp oil.
The research continues after several people have died from vaping THC and Vaping.
Side effects of CBD include sleepiness, decreased appetite, diarrhea, fatigue, malaise, weakness, sleeping problems, and others. It does not have intoxicating effects like those caused by THC, and may have an opposing effect on disordered thinking and anxiety produced by THC. CBD has been found to interact with a variety of different biological targets, including cannabinoid receptors and other neurotransmitter receptors. The mechanism of action of CBD in terms of its psychoactive and therapeutic effects is not fully clear.
Are you in need of some sleep? Edibles are a wonderful way to get your medicine dispensed so you can get a good nights rest. Many are available in todays market.
PLEASE RESEARCH YOUR PRODUCTS BEFORE YOU CONSUME ANY TYPE OF THC OR CBD OIL.
CDC reports that Vitamin E Acetate could be responsible for the deaths of 54 as of December 20, 2019…
CDC is confident that Vitamin E acetate is strongly linked to the EVALI outbreak. In a second report in the New England Journal of Medicine, CDC scientists found Vitamin E acetate in lung fluid washings, what we call bronchioloalveolar lavage samples in 48 of 51 samples of patients with EVALI but not in a variety of comparison patient groups. The patients with EVALI came from 16 different states, suggesting this was not a single local supplier of tainted products. These expanded patient clinical specimen results are consistent with previous work including identification by FDA and others of Vitamin E acetate in THC-containing products collected from patients with EVALI, as well as Minnesota’s recent report that Vitamin E acetate was in seized THC products from 2019 but not in any samples from 2018.
Given all of these findings, including today’s study, we can conclude that what I call the explosive outbreak of cases of EVALI can be attributed to exposure to THC-containing vaping products that also contained Vitamin E acetate. I want to stress that this does not mean that there are not other substances in e-cigarette or vaping products that have or are capable of causing lung injury. We know that a persistent small proportion of EVALI cases do not report use of THC-containing vaping products.
Key Facts about Use of E-Cigarette, or Vaping, Products
Electronic cigarettes—or e-cigarettes—are also called vapes, e-hookahs, vape pens, tank systems, mods, and electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS).
Using an e-cigarette is commonly called vaping.
E-cigarettes work by heating a liquid to produce an aerosol that users inhale into their lungs.
The liquid can contain: nicotine, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabinoid (CBD) oils, and other substances, flavorings, and additives. THC is the psychoactive mind-altering compound of marijuana that produces the “high.”
Some of these products contain antifreeze / engine coolant. These products are harmful and can cause death if used improperly. Prolonged exposure or high concentrations of vapor or mist may cause mild irritation of the respiratory respiratory and headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, disturbances of the central nervous system, involuntary eye irritation. If swallowed may cause death if not given emergency services.
IT’S THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND HERE COMES ALL THE STRESS!!!

Don’t wait to get help if you experience any of these heart attack warning signs. Some heart attacks are sudden and intense. But most start slowly, with mild pain or discomfort. Pay attention to your body and call 911 if you experience:
DONT HESITATE CALL 911
Symptoms vary between men and women
As with men, women’s most common heart attack symptom is chest pain (angina) or discomfort. But women are somewhat more likely than men to experience some of the other common symptoms, particularly shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, and back or jaw pain.
“I’m too young to worry about heart disease.” How you live now affects your risk for cardiovascular diseases later in life. As early as childhood and adolescence, plaque can start accumulating in the arteries and later lead to clogged arteries. One in three Americans has cardiovascular disease, but not all of them are senior citizens. Even young and middle-aged people can develop heart problems – especially now that obesity, type 2 diabetes and other risk factors are becoming more common at a younger age.
“I’d know if I had high blood pressure because there would be warning signs.”High blood pressure is called the “silent killer” because you don’t usually know you have it. You may never experience symptoms, so don’t wait for your body to alert you that there’s a problem. The way to know if you have high blood pressure is to check your numbers with a simple blood pressure test. Early treatment of high blood pressure is critical because, if left untreated, it can cause heart attack, stroke, kidney damage and other serious health problems. Learn how high blood pressure is diagnosed.
“I’ll know when I’m having a heart attack because I’ll have chest pain.” Not necessarily. Although it’s common to have chest pain or discomfort, a heart attack may cause subtle symptoms. These include shortness of breath, nausea, feeling lightheaded, and pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the jaw, neck or back. Even if you’re not sure it’s a heart attack, call 911 immediately. Learn you risk of heart attack today!
“Diabetes won’t threaten my heart as long as I take my medication.”Treating diabetes can help reduce your risk for or delay the development of cardiovascular diseases. But even when blood sugar levels are under control, you’re still at increased risk for heart disease and stroke. That’s because the risk factors that contribute to diabetes onset also make you more likely to develop cardiovascular disease. These overlapping risk factors include high blood pressure, overweight and obesity, physical inactivity and smoking.
“Heart disease runs in my family, so there’s nothing I can do to prevent it.” Although people with a family history of heart disease are at higher risk, you can take steps to dramatically reduce your risk. Create an action plan to keep your heart healthy by tackling these to-dos: get active; control cholesterol; eat better; manage blood pressure; maintain a healthy weight; control blood sugar; and stop smoking.
“I don’t need to have my cholesterol checked until I’m middle-aged.” The American Heart Association recommends you start getting your cholesterol checked every 5 years starting at age 20. It’s a good idea to start having a cholesterol test even earlier if your family has a history of heart disease. Children in these families can have high cholesterol levels, putting them at increased risk for developing heart disease as adults. You can help yourself and your family by eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly.
“Heart failure means the heart stops beating.” The heart suddenly stops beating during cardiac arrest, not heart failure. With heart failure, the heart keeps working, but it doesn’t pump blood as well as it should. It can cause shortness of breath, swelling in the feet and ankles or persistent coughing and wheezing. During cardiac arrest, a person loses consciousness and stops normal breathing.
“This pain in my legs must be a sign of aging. I’m sure it has nothing to do with my heart.” Leg pain felt in the muscles could be a sign of a condition called peripheral artery disease. PAD results from blocked arteries in the legs caused by plaque buildup. The risk for heart attack or stroke increases for people with PAD.
“My heart is beating really fast. I must be having a heart attack.” Some variation in your heart rate is normal. Your heart rate speeds up during exercise or when you get excited, and slows down when you’re sleeping. Most of the time, a change in your heartbeat is nothing to worry about. But sometimes, it can be a sign of arrhythmia, an abnormal or irregular heartbeat. Most arrhythmias are harmless, but some can last long enough to impact how well the heart works and require treatment.
“I should avoid exercise after having a heart attack.” No! As soon as possible, get moving with a plan approved for you! Research shows that heart attack survivors who are regularly physically active and make other heart-healthy changes live longer than those who don’t. People with chronic conditions typically find that moderate-intensity activity is safe and beneficial. The American Heart Association recommends at least two and a half hours of moderate intensity physical activity each week For Overall Cardiovascular Health. Find the help you need by joining a cardiac rehabilitation program, but first consult your healthcare provider for advice on developing a physical activity plan tailored to your needs.
Vitamin E acetate is used as an additive, most notably as a thickening agent in THC-containing e-cigarette, or vaping, products.
Vitamin E is a vitamin found in many foods, including vegetable oils, cereals, meat, fruits, and vegetables. It is also available as a dietary supplement and in many cosmetic products, like skin creams.
Vitamin E acetate usually does not cause harm when ingested as a vitamin supplement or applied to the skin. However, previous research suggests that when vitamin E acetate is inhaled, it may interfere with normal lung functioning.
Any of these products pictured here may contain dangerous substances that can kill you!!!
Latest Outbreak Information From The CDC:

More deaths are currently under investigation.
Data suggest the outbreak peaked in September 2019. However, states continue to report new cases, including deaths, to CDC on a weekly basis.
Among cases of hospitalized EVALI patients reported to CDC with available data (as of December 3, 2019): 67% were male (among 2,155 patients with data on sex)
78% were under 35 years old, with a median age of 24 years and age range from 13 to 77 years (among 2,159 patients with data on age)
By age group category: 16% of patients were under 18 years old;
38% of patients were 18 to 24 years old;
24% of patients were 25 to 34 years old; and
23% of patients were 35 years or older.
1,782 hospitalized patients had complete information* on substances used in e-cigarette, or vaping, products in the 3 months prior to symptom onset, of whom (as of December 3, 2019): 80% reported using THC-containing products; 35% reported exclusive use of THC-containing products.
54% reported using nicotine-containing products; 13% reported exclusive use of nicotine-containing products.
12% reported using cannabidiol (CBD)-containing products; 1% reported exclusive use of cannabidiol (CBD)-containing products.
40% reported both THC- and nicotine-containing product use.
5% reported no THC-, nicotine-, or CBD-containing product use.
Among hospitalized EVALI patients who reported using THC-containing e-cigarette, or vaping product brands: The most commonly reported product brand included Dank vapes (56%), followed by TKO (15%), Smart Cart (13%), and Rove (12%). However, regional differences in THC-containing product use were noted.
CDC Laboratory Findings Reported November 8, 2019:
Analyses of bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid samples (fluid samples collected from the lungs) of patients with e-cigarette, or vaping, product use-associated lung injury (EVALI) identified vitamin E acetate, an additive in some THC-containing e-cigarette, or vaping, products.
CDC laboratory test results of BAL fluid samples from 29 patients submitted to CDC from 10 states found vitamin E acetate in all of the samples.
THC was identified in 82% of the samples and nicotine was identified in 62% of the samples.
CDC tested for a range of other chemicals that might be found in e-cigarette, or vaping, products, including plant oils, petroleum distillates like mineral oil, MCT (medium chain triglyceride) oil, and terpenes (which are compounds found in or added to THC products). None of these chemicals of concern were detected in the BAL fluid samples tested.
This is the first time that we have detected a chemical of concern in biologic samples from patients with these lung injuries. These findings provide direct evidence of vitamin E acetate at the primary site of injury within the lungs.
These findings complement the ongoing work of FDAexternal icon and some state public health laboratories to characterize e-liquid exposures and inform the ongoing multistate outbreak.

About the Outbreak:
CDC is only reporting hospitalized EVALI cases and EVALI deaths regardless of hospitalization status. CDC has removed nonhospitalized cases from previously reported case counts. See Public Health Reporting for more information.
As of December 17, 2019, a total of 2,506 hospitalized EVALI cases have been reported to CDC from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and two U.S. territories (Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands).
Fifty-four deaths have been confirmed in 27 states and the District of Columbia (as of December 17, 2019).
Although the number of reported cases appears to be declining, states are still reporting new hospitalized EVALI cases to CDC on a weekly basis and should remain vigilant with EVALI case finding and reporting.
About Patient Exposure:
All EVALI patients have reported a history of using e-cigarette, or vaping, products.
Vitamin E acetate has been identified as a chemical of concern among people with e-cigarette, or vaping, product use-associated lung injury (EVALI).
THC is present in most of the samples tested by FDA to date, and most patients report a history of using THC-containing products.
The latest national and state findings suggest THC-containing e-cigarette, or vaping, products, particularly from informal sources like friends, family, or in-person or online dealers, are linked to most of the cases and play a major role in the outbreak.
CDC has analyzed national data on use of THC-containing product brands by EVALI patients.
Overall, 152 different THC-containing product brands were reported by EVALI patients.
Dank Vapes, a class of largely counterfeit THC-containing products of unknown origin, was the most commonly reported product brand used by patients nationwide, although there are regional differences. While Dank Vapes was most commonly reported in the Northeast and South, TKO and Smart Cart brands were more commonly reported by patients in the West and Rove was more common in the Midwest.
The data further support that EVALI is associated with THC-containing products and that it is not likely associated with a single THC-containing product brand.
What We Don’t Know
While it appears that vitamin E acetate is associated with EVALI, there are many different substances and product sources that are being investigated, and there may be more than one cause.
What CDC Recommends
CDC and FDA recommend that people should not use THC-containing e-cigarette, or vaping, products, particularly from informal sources like friends, family, or in-person or online sellers.
Vitamin E acetate should not be added to e-cigarette, or vaping, products. Additionally, people should not add any other substances not intended by the manufacturer to products, including products purchased through retail establishments.
While it appears that vitamin E acetate is associated with EVALI, there are many different substances and product sources that are being investigated, and there may be more than one cause. Therefore, the best way for people to ensure that they are not at risk while the investigation continues is to consider refraining from the use of all e-cigarette, or vaping, products.
Adults using e-cigarettes or vaping products as an alternative to cigarettes should not go back to smoking; they should weigh all available information and consider utilizing FDA-approved cessation medicationsexternal icon. They should contact their healthcare provider if they need help quitting tobacco products, including e-cigarettes.
Adults who continue to use an e-cigarette, or vaping, product should carefully monitor themselves for symptoms and see a healthcare provider immediately if they develop symptoms like those reported in this outbreak.
If you are concerned about your health after using an e-cigarette, or vaping, product, contact your healthcare provider, or local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
Adults with ongoing cannabis (marijuana) use that leads to significant impairment or distress should seek out evidence-based behavioral treatment.
Effective treatments are available, and recovery is possible. A number of therapy-based treatments such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, contingency management, motivational enhancement therapy, and multi-dimensional family therapy have been shown to be effective.
For adults currently using marijuana/THC-containing e-cigarette, or vaping, products for medical use: We do not know if there are different health effects of using different forms of marijuana, such as smoking, vaping, and edibles, or whether transitioning from one form to another might reduce harm. Talk with your healthcare provider about other available treatment options for the conditions.
Regardless of the ongoing investigation:
E-cigarette, or vaping, products should never be used by youths, young adults, or women who are pregnant.
Adults who do not currently use tobacco products should not start using e-cigarette, or vaping, products. There is no safe tobacco product. All tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, carry a risk.
THC use has been associated with a wide range of health effects, particularly with prolonged frequent use. The best way to avoid potentially harmful effects is to not use THC-containing e-cigarette, or vaping, products. Persons engaging in ongoing cannabis (marijuana) use that leads to significant impairment or distress should seek evidence-based treatment by a healthcare provider.

Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute researchers found thousands of holes covering a potential wind-energy farm site off California’s coast, and they aren’t sure what caused them.
During a recent survey of the deep seafloor off Big Sur, MBARI researchers discovered thousands of mysterious holes or pits in the seafloor. Scientists and resource managers want to understand how these pits formed because this area is the site of a proposed wind-energy farm. Researchers Eve Lundsten and Charles Paull describe their discovery this week at the Fall 2019 meeting of the American Geophysical Union in San Francisco.
The researchers found two different sizes of holes. The larger ones, known as pockmarks, average 175 meters (almost 600 feet) across and five meters (16 feet) deep, and are nearly circular and fairly evenly spaced. Some of these pockmarks were initially discovered by MBARI scientists in 1999 during a seafloor survey using ship-mounted sonar. Over the last few years, additional surveys by MBARI and other organizations revealed over 5,200 pockmarks spread out over 1,300 square kilometers (500 square miles), making this area the largest known pockmark field in North America.
More recently, MBARI conducted detailed seafloor surveys using sonar mounted on autonomous underwater vehicles. These surveys revealed thousands of smaller pits, which they termed micro-depressions. The micro-depressions average just 11 meters (36 feet) across and one meter (three feet) deep. They have steeper sides than the pockmarks and are often elongated in one direction.
Seafloor pockmarks have been found elsewhere around the world, and have been associated with releases of methane gas or other fluids from the seafloor. Such methane releases could potentially cause the seafloor to be unstable, which could pose risks for structures such as offshore oil platforms or wind turbines. However MBARI researchers found no evidence of methane in the sediment or seawater in this region. In fact, sonar data showing layers of seafloor sediments suggest that these pockmarks have been inactive for the last 50,000 years.
Don’t forget… VIDEO BELOW
In contrast to the pockmarks, the micro-depressions formed in relatively young sediment. In addition, almost all of the micro-depressions contain objects such as rocks, kelp holdfasts, bones, trash, or fishing gear. Many micro-depressions also have “tails” of sediment that probably originated within the depression. In many areas, these tails are all oriented in the same direction.
Based on these observations, the researchers hypothesize that the micro-depressions are relatively recent features that were were excavated by local seafloor currents. Because the sediment on the seafloor in this area is so soft and “fluffy,” the researchers speculate that even the movements of fish hiding out in the micro-depressions could stir up the sediment, allowing it to be carried away by currents.
Summarizing this work, Lundsten said, “The pockmarks and micro-depressions in this area are both holes in the seafloor that occur in softer sediments, but they are morphologically distinct. The cause and persistence of the pockmarks still remains a mystery, but we find no evidence they were created from gas or fluid in the seafloor in the recent past. The micro-depressions are recently formed erosional features; they are not ‘incipient pockmarks.’ Overall, a lot more work needs to be done to understand how all these features were formed, and this work is in progress.”

Combine the water, salt, sugar, yeast and 2 cups of the flour to your Kitchenaid mixing bowl.
Set mixer speed to 4 and mix well. Add in the flour about a half a cup at a time, mix for a minute or so and add more flour until the dough comes together and doesn’t stick to the bowl.
The dough should form a ball on the dough hook. It may become sticky after a few minutes of kneading so keep the flour handy to add more if necessary.
Knead for 8-10 minutes. The final dough should be firm and elastic and a little sticky to the touch.
Form the dough into a ball and place the dough in a greased bowl.
Cover the dough with a towel or cloth and leave in a warm place for about an hour.
Remove dough from bowl onto a smooth counter that has a little flour on top to keep the dough from sticking to the counter.
Divide dough into 10 equal balls. For oval shaped rolls, roll the balls between your palms for about 5 seconds to make a cylindrical shape, tapering slightly at the ends.
Cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and brush each dough ball with egg whites.
Using a bread knife, make a cut down the length of the roll about 1/4 inch deep. Bake for about 30 minutes, let cool and enjoy.
They may also be wrapped well and frozen for later use. It’s better to bake the rolls as needed to keep the freshness.
Authentic Mexican Torta (Sandwich made with Bread).
Let’s start at the ground level. I like the “Bread” to be light and a bit airy. I make my own bread for my tortas. Some people like a texture more towards a French rolls consistency. Which ever way you prefer they will come out perfect every time. I will include the Mexican Bolillos dough recipe below.
There are many choices hot or cold, meat and veggies to put on to your Torta. I have listed a few different ways to make an authentic Mexican torta.
Carnitas (Slow Roasted Pork): Shredded Pork,
Carne Asada Beef
Arrachera Beef (Skirt Steak BBQ)
Slow Cooked Shredded Beef
Chicken Shredded
Fried Chicken Pieces
Ham and Cheese
Batter Fried Fish and Shrimp
All Veggies for the Vegetarian
The following ingredients are usually served as condiments for the Tortas. Frijoles (Beans), Avocado, Tomato, Onion, Lettuce, Jalapenos, Cilantro, Lime juice, Mayonnaise, Green Chili Sauce, Sour Cream, Pico De Gallo, Salsa, Tapatio Hot Sauce.
Breakfast Torta: Scrambled Egg, Cheese and Bacon, Sausage or Ham and veggies.
The Bread… You can buy some rolls from a Mexican bakery in you area. Or if you are like me, I Love to bake my own. Here’s the recipe I use.
A traditional Mexican cake. Tasty almond flavor. Great for any occasion.

At one time I had the good fortune to live near a remarkable Jewish Bakery. They created the most eye catching flavorful desserts I had ever seen or tasted. When I moved out of the area and realized I no longer had access to some of my favorites; I decided it was time to start creating my own. One of these fabulous treats was Prune Danish. Now many people just are not into prunes always seeing them as simply a source of fiber for regularity. However, their flavor complements the flaky pastry crust that surrounds them. Prunes are NOT just for fiber any more! And so let me entice you to try making what you see above and enjoying the aroma and flavor of your own freshly baked Prune Danish! Below are two versions you may follow. The Puff Pastry and Lekvar Prune Butter are what yielded the photo above. BUT you can also create your own prune filling and use a softer pastry as will be detailed in what follows. Mix, match and try what you will as they will still taste great. Let us begin with the Puff pastry: 2 1/2 sticks cold unsalted butter 1/2 cup cold tap (or bottled) water 1 tsp salt 2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/8 tsp Cardamom (ground)
Measure the water, add the salt and vanilla, stir to dissolve and set aside. Cut up butter into small size chunks ( I cut 1/2 inch pats then split those into four) Place flour and cardamom into bowl of food processor with METAL blade (not dough blade) Add about 1/2 stick’s worth of the cut up butter and pulse 12 times for one second each Add remaining butter and long pulse twice to incorporate (5 seconds each) Add water and pulse three or four times until dough forms a rough ball. Flour your work surface (I use a large wooden pastry board) and scrape dough out of processor onto the floured surface. Shape dough into a rough rectangle and place between two LARGE sheets of plastic wrap (OR you could use waxed paper). Roll dough into a 12X18 inch rectangle Peel away top plastic then invert dough onto floured work surface Peel away second plastic then fold dough in thirds on the width so as to end up with a 6X18 inch rectangle. Fold one side in then the other overlapping. Roll up dough from a six inch side making sure the end is on the bottom. Press dough into a a square, wrap in plastic and refrigerate one hour.
Pastry number two is a softer one:
1 8oz. brick of cream cheese 3 sticks of butter (salted) 3 cups all purpose flour 1/8 tsp cardamom 1 tsp vanilla
Place 3 cups flour and 1/8 tsp cardamom into food processor with metal blade Cut up butter into smaller chunks (cut 1/2 inch pats then cut each into 4) Cut up Cream cheese into rough chunks as well Add butter to processor and pulse until four and butter combine roughly Add cream cheese and vanilla and pulse until the dough comes together CAREFULLY remove from processor and work with your hands into a ball Place in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap then into the fridge for one hour.
Those are the two dough options. Both taste good.
As to the prune filling – well I really like the Simon Fischer Lekvar Prune Butter in the18oz jar. I have bought it on Amazon. It is Natural and tastes really good. I have even spread it on English muffins for breakfast. They sell the jars as a pack of 6 which is okay as they will last you a while. They also sell 17oz in a pack of 3 but you pay shipping so the six pack is a better value. Try this stuff it is REALLY good. I used to use the Solo Prune Filling in the can until my grocery store stopped carrying it. Now I realize they did me a favor as that one was nowhere near as good as Simon Fischer.
IF you feel REALLY ambitious and would rather make your own prune filling then here goes MY version.
2 cups pitted prunes 1/2 cup dark raisins 1 cup Brandy (or if you do not like using alcohol use boiling water) 3/4 cup mild honey 1/8 tsp salt 1 tsp grated Orange Peel (fresh grated or from the jar) (I use a Microplane to get very fine fresh orange and lemon peels. If you do not have one GET one – they are wonderful.)
Put prunes and raisins into a container or bowl and pour on brandy (or boiling water). Stir well and cover with container lid or plastic wrap. (Brandy gives a great flavor and the alcohol will cook out anyway). Allow fruit to soak overnight Place softened fruit into food processor with metal blade Add peel and salt and pulse three or four times Add honey and run processor until well mixed and smooth Do not worry if mixture seems thin as you are going to refrigerate this overnight and it will firm up at that time.
Notice I do NOT cook the prunes as do many recipes. I do not like the taste or texture. The alcohol in the Brandy really plumps and tenderizes the fruit. Boiling water will do okay but not as good as Brandy!
NOW whichever dough you have made you will cut into four equal parts. That is if you like your Danish LARGE with lots of filling – as I DO! If you want smaller ones then by all means divide further. The techniques are the same regardless so YOU decide.
For the Puff Pastry roll each part of dough on Floured surface until you have a 6″X6″ square. (That is for the four LARGE size as shown above) For the soft pastry instead of flour you will coat your work surface with a mixture of 1 cup confectioners sugar and 1 cu granulated sugar. Mix them up together and use like flour on work surface to roll out dough.
Puff Pastry:
For the two front danish in the photo which are the standard looking type, look at the 6X6 square from one point so you see what is like a diamond shape. I use a Tablespoon and a teaspoon to load the filling down the center of the diamond leaving an inch at either “tip”. I use quite a bit of prune in each because I like it that way and the bakery I once frequented did the same. NOW you will fold the two SIDE tips inwards so they overlap over the prune filling (just like you see in the photo above.) Also curl up the other two end points making a sort of ridge which will help keep any filling from running out. This is for the standard look. Use a large flat spatula to lift the danish from the work surface on to your baking sheet. I use a standard cookie sheet which is lined with a Silpat. You can buy Silpat (or silicone) liners on Amazon OR when they have them Costco sells a set for a LOT cheaper. I always have TWO silpat lined cookie sheets for when I make cookies.
The other fancier danish starts out the same with the square but now you look at it AS a square and load the filling down the center leaving an inch at either end. Next you will use a sharp knife to slice the dough into strips coming no closer to the filling than a half inch. Like a lattice you will fold first one “flap” then its opposing over the filling so they overlap. Just look at the picture above and you can see what I am trying to describe. I like the look of these for some reason.
Use the “square/diamond” instructions above only coat your surface with the mix of confectioners and granulated sugars. I would NOT try the overlapping strips with this softer dough. You might end up with a mess. In both cases place cookie sheet with pastries into the fridge while the oven preheats to 350. Before placing in oven either spray top surface of pastries LIGHTLY with PAM (and please use the original as it has the best taste) OR separate out an egg white and whip it up with a whisk until it is more liquid. Brush this on the tops of the pastries if you wish. I prefer the PAM as I do not like the added egg taste. Start out setting your timer at fifteen minutes and then check every five minutes after that until pastry is golden brown as above. DO NOT leave and do NOT forget to check. Every oven is different and there is no way to be exact with timing. Just go by smell and sight to judge when these are done.
Remove from oven leave ten minutes then transfer to cooling racks. Enjoy!

Margarine originated with the discovery by French chemist Michel Eugène Chevreul in 1813 of margaric acid.
Michel Eugène Chevreul Napoleon III
A new recipe was created in response to a competitive challenge from the French govern by order of Napoleon III. Who was looking for a cheap and stable substitute for butter to feed the military troops and lower class of French population. Napoleon offered a big prize to anyone who could pull it off.
Hippolyte Mège-Mouriès
In 1869 Hippolyte Mège-Mouriès, during the Franco-Prussian wars improved margerine. Won the prize from Napoleon III for best improved recipe for margarine.
The original formulation of margarine was made with beef fat. Today most margarine is produced with vegetable oil.
FALSE… Not even slightly true. Even though it had been rumored for many centuries that the contest margarine from the other contestants was fed to the turkeys and they died. People had said Napoleon was “Testing the Product” to make sure no one was making something to poison the troops and the people of France. Not one turkey was killed by margarine.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: KEEP YOUR FACE, HANDS and EYES COVERED.
Always wash your hands and change clothes as soon as you get home.
Try and keep the contamination to one area.
If you are one of the few that come home to one of the burnt out neighborhoods make sure you exercise caution while out in the elements.
That means anytime you are outside make sure you follow these simple emergency instructions to cleansing your body.
You do not want to inhale any of the elements that is on fire or has been burnt out.
Respiratory infections and many other illness can be blamed on large burn out fires as these.
Think about how many toxic products that are in our homes. Make sure if moving one of these items you are prepared with emergency protection gear.
Refrigerator, microwaves, cars, carpet, wood flooring that has been treated and those are just a few things that every home may have.
Your home and residing in the neighborhood: Set up an area that you can seal off. If you have a separate hall way that you can close off with plastic or a separate entry, perhaps through the side garage door(not a big one)with door to house. Handy to change contaminated clothes.
Even though your area may not have flames crawling up your street or that you can actually see, remember embers and ash can float through the air. It will glide until it gets caught on a branch or something to cling onto.
Make sure you bath each night before you go to bed.
Open your pores with warm water and use a good scrubby or washcloth with loads of soap. Soap up really good. Use cold water after to wash the soap off and close your pores.
Keep all of your smoke clothes in a plastic bag in your sealed area until you wash them. You don’t want to spread the smell or contaminate any other area.
If you are in close vicinity of the devastated areas: Do Not run any fans or air conditioning that has a connetion to outdoors. Close all doors, windows and vents. Close blinds and curtains to keep sun out and temperatures down in the house.
1 egg per 3 slices of bread (Day old bread is great to use, make sure nice healthy slice.)
3 tablespoons of water
Vegetable oil
Griddle or Skillet
Heat your Griddle or Skillet to a medium heat.
Beat the eggs and water until combined.
Place each slice of bread gently into the egg bath making sure both sides are coated well.
Place on to hot greased griddle or pan and repeat.
Cook for 2 minutes and flip. Total time is about 4 minutes. Slowly cook until lightly brown on both sides. Don’t rush or you will have mushy French Toast and that’s gross.
Lightly butter each slice and serve with warm syrup or fruit.
Use you imagination for the toppings. You can also make Savory and Zesty French Toast for lunch or dinner.
I don’t put sugar or cinnmon in my egg mix. There is enough in the syrup. I’d rather add some cinnamon to the syrup and slightly warm it and serve on the side. This way you are not serving a plate of sugar. Make it so diabetics can enjoy. Make it fun and add some choices of fruit, whip cream or what ever. Simple and less sugar.
I made a loaf of bread wth the buttery dinner roll left over dough a few weeks before. I took the loaf from the freezer… This was a wise move to use this bread. This recipe just melts in your mouth.
Ok so you have learned how to make your PICO DE GALLO. Now its time for the Guacamole.
LEVEL: SIMPLE
COOK TIME: 20 minutes
Actual time will depend on how many people you will be serving. If its just a single serving for you total time 20 minutes. I usually figure one avocado per person. The Pico De Gallo you can make a day ahead or even a couple days.
This summer brought a bumper crop of tomatoes. With all the sunshine the vegatable garden had a big burst with the long summer days.
6 large Tomato
1 bunch Cilantro
1 bunch Green Onion
1 medium Sweet Onion
8 sections Garlic
Salt To Taste
1/4 cup Lime Juice (Fresh is best)
1 Serrano pepper ( for spicy leave the seeds in and just thinly slice the pepper. Take the seeds out and put just a few in for a nice medium to cool temperature of spicy.)
The FDA has stated that CBD is not a treatment for serious illnesses such as cancer, diabetes and alzheimer’s.
CBD has a wide range of medical issues it can resolve or at the least help with. Can help relive pain from cancer. Its been helping with seizure’s.
CBD can take any where from 30 minutes to four hours to take effect. The effects can last up to 6 to 8 hours.
Edibles are mainly used for pain. The doctor should relate to you how much to use. You can become sick and you can have mental issues with using to much of this product.
That chewy cookie contains 30 milligrams Of CBD and the recommended adult dosage is 5 milligrams, how much of that cookie can you eat? If you eat the entire cookie you will be over dosing yourself. Simple math… 30 divided 5 = 6. So you split that cookie into 6 equal parts and that is your dose.
Lotions and tinctures for external pain relief. Arthritis, joint pain, muscle aches and pains related to this.
Edibles can help with stomach issues, but usually THC is better for this medical issue.
Recreational Users: Don’t be fooled about the potency. Some edibles with CBD are more potent and have a different “High”.
Where THC can treat bipolar, anxiety, panic attacks and other minor mental illness issues with your doctor guidance. Cancer patients use THC by smoking the product for nausea and to increase appetite”.
So the proof is there for safe use of CBD and THC for many different illnesses. You just need to find a doctor that believes in this medicine.
This recipe makes light and airy buttery dinner rolls easily and quick. Place your ingredients into the bread machine and go do something else while the machine processes the dough to a beautiful smooth texture. This recipe will make enough dough to make 48 regular rolls or 24 small size sandwhich rolls (not pictured). Or like I always do is make a pan of 18 rolls, 1 LB loaf and 6 sandwhich rolls from 2 LB’s of dough. Add all the ingreidients to pan as follows. Remember Liquid always goes first when using a bread machine. Always put your ingredients in their perspective places in the pan and you will always have perfect dough.
Ingredients
3/8 cup Water
1 cup Milk (Whole) room temperature
3/4 Stick Butter (chopped into tiny pieces and evenly placed in the pan)
1 and 3/4 teaspoon Salt (on the Left side top corner of the pan)
4 cups Flour (in the center place a shallow divot to place yeast and a little sugar)
2 tablespoons Sugar (on the bottom right corner and a small sprinkle in the divot maybe 1/4 teaspoon)(Real Sugar, No Substitute)( Trust me, it won’t hurt you)
3 Tablespoons Powdered Milk
2 and 1/4 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast ( place in pivot on top of sprinkled sugar)(NO QUICK YEAST) Old Fashion kind…
Once your timer goes off on your bread machine to signal your “DOUGH” is finished, remove pan of dough from machine and place it at work station.
Set your machine on “DOUGH” and go do something else.
On your work surface place your pans that you will use to cook your rolls.
Grease your pans lightly and your hands completely. I just use vegetable oil.
Remove a 1″ ball of dough for regular rolls or 2 1/2″ inches for larger rolls.
Place your rolls 1\4″ apart in pan. Set in warm area to rise for 25 to 45 minutes. Check after 25 minutes. Best if at least twice to 3 times original size or more.
at 25 minutes preheat your oven on 350 degrees
Place your pan in the oven on the center rack
Cook for 20 minutes or until lightly brown tops
Do Not Over Cook… Check through glass door of oven after 15 minutes. DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR at 15 minutes unless tops are brown then remove them. If not, check at 20 minutes. Remove and let cool at least 10 minutes.
As you gain more confidence at baking bread you will be able to lightly knock on the rolls and know they are done… Cooking is amazing once you get going. So every time you bake bread and the timer goes off knock lightly with your finger tip of nail on top of rolls “FLICK” it in the center. They will be crispy on the crust. You will hear a clear tone when they are done. Keep baking, you will see…
You can also freeze any extra dough. Just make the size of dough lay them on a cookie sheet and freeze and remove place in a baggie and take them out of freezer as you want. Easy simple.
Other tasty treats you may want to try with this dough are:
Bearclaws (Almond paste with a lite glaze)
Fried Apple fritters (Apples and Cinnamon wrapped up and sprinkled with glaze)
Peaches n Cream (Fried Bread with Peach compote with a dab of Vanilla Ice Cream)
What to do when your medicine is in the form of CBD or THC?
Testing your medicine after you receive it from the despesary is going backwards to my train of thought. I’m not sure about you, but I think it should be pure of any toxins when you buy the product.
Where is the tax money from this product going? I think some of it should be going into a Federally Regulated and backed by Uncle Sam. They have legalized it now maintain the quality that is promised.
Today about 1/3 of our population today medicates in some way with CBD or THC. Whether it be smoking, edibles, creams or tonics, we need to be cautious.
As we have seen in the past few weeks that these product are Un-Regulated and have not been federally or even regulated testing for purity from harmful pesticides, heavy metals and other known toxins.
When so many are using these products today. Whether it be for medical use or recreational use, it needs to be regulated so the consumer is protected. I am guessing that most of these cases will be blamed on “Home Made” recipes bought on the street. But that won’t be the case. As several have already been traced back to some of the dispensaries.
It’s hard to know what’s in that little green bottle or gummy bear…
Researchers have warned that Synthetic Cannabinoids are likly to be the cause to many poisnionings and deaths.
A recent study found a dangerous synthetic, as well as a cough suppressant dextromethorphan, in one manufactures CBD vaping products.
In a recent study on different products from several different manufactures shows that the potency was barely 1/4 percent of the CBD specified percentage stated on the label.
So moral to this story is buyer beware… Ask you government officials for stronger regulations and federally backed testing for potency and purity.
Getting ready to serve up some flavor fun packed ADULT treats for your party. Something fun and delicious with a twist. Your party will be a hit this holiday with some treats and drinks.

Michigan couple thought they were living in their own pre-Halloween spectacle. They noticed there appeared to scratches on Lilly, their daughter. The scratches would appear after putting her in her crib at night.
But this spooky tale had more to offer. After watching the nanny security camera. What they saw had to be reviewed several times for them to even believe what they saw.

MY COMMENT: OMG… nothing more than simple bazar incident to drive you crazy…. Enjoy the story, I did….
If you are anything like me I didn’t know what my Blood Pressure Level should have been. I quickly learned after having a heart attack.
This blood pressure chart will help you as it did me.
This blood pressure chart can help you figure out if your blood pressure is at a healthy level or if you’ll need to take some steps to improve your numbers.
ideal blood pressure chart 70
Your total blood pressure reading is determined by measuring your systolic and diastolic blood pressures. Systolic blood pressure, the top number, measures the force your heart exerts on the walls of your arteries each time it beats. Diastolic blood pressure, the bottom number, measures the force your heart exerts on the walls of your arteries in between beats.
Blood pressure readings fall into four general categories, ranging from normal to stage 2 high blood pressure (hypertension). The level of your blood pressure determines what kind of treatment you may need. To get an accurate blood pressure measurement, your doctor should evaluate your readings based on the average of two or more blood pressure readings at three or more office visits.
Now that we have new laws in every state and a dispensary on every corner its hard to remember what state is GO GREEN and which is still illegal. Check out your state.
In the 1967 my cousins and I built a tree house in the plum tree and we watched the Disneyland fireworks. We use to play army in the orange groves. Using the oranges as hand grenades and drinking the juice when we were thirsty. I can remember waking up in the morning to fresh strawberries on the kitchen table. Plums picked fresh from the tree. Sunday we would go to my grandmothers house and she had apricot’s, Apples and some other fruits in her yard.
July 17, 1955: Disneyland opening aerial. In foreground is the still-unfinished Santa Ana Freeway. The Harbor Blvd. intersection is on extreme right.
We were surrounded by fruits and vegetables. No matter if we were walking to school or to the store fields and orchards every where. Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm were surrounded by Orchards and fields.
Agriculture is one of the prominent elements of the state’s economy: California leads the nation in the production of fruits, vegetables, wines and nuts. The state’s most valuable crops in 2019 are cannabis, nuts, grapes, cotton, flowers, and oranges. California produces the major share of U.S. domestic wine. Also grown carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and broccoli.
Orange Groves: In the late 1880s, California citrus growers began organizing themselves into cooperatives, with the goal of increasing profits by pooling their risk and increasing their collective bargaining power with jobbers and packers. The economic depression that began in 1893 worsened farmers’ situations, and intensified their desire to self-organize to their own benefit.
In 1893, P.J. Dreher and his son, the “father of the California citrus industry” Edward L. Dreher (1877–1964), formed the Southern California Fruit Exchange in Claremont, a small college town near Los Angeles. It originally represented only growers of oranges: in 1896 lemon growers joined as well.[3] The exchange soon included growers and groves in Riverside in Riverside County, Pomona and San Dimas in Los Angeles County, and Santa Paula, Saticoy, Fillmore, Rancho Sespe, Bardsdale and Piru in Ventura County; by 1905, the group represented 5,000 members, 45% of the California citrus industry, and renamed itself the California Fruit Growers Exchange. In 1952, it changed its name to Sunkist Growers, Inc.
Strawberry Fields: The strawberry Festival in Garden Grove California was started in 1958. The festival became and has always been a charitable event benefiting local organizations. In the past 50 years over $4.5 million has been donated to hundreds of non-profits.
Avocado Groves: The Hass avocado had one of its first commercial successes at the Model Grocery Store on Colorado Street in Pasadena, California, where chefs working for some of the town’s wealthy residents bought the new cultivar’s big, nutty-tasting fruit for $1 each, a very high price at the time (equivalent to $14 in 2018).
Almond Trees: Almonds arrived in California in the 1700’s when Jesuit missionaries from Spain brought them as food and later planted them in their coastal missions. Eventually, settlers found that the nut grew much better in the inland areas of the state, away from the cool coastal fog. In the past 30 years, California’s almond yield has quadrupled, covering more than half a million acres in the lush San Joaquin, Fresno and Sacramento valleys. Today: Almonds are California‘s top agricultural export and largest tree nut crop in total dollar value and acreage. They also rank as the largest U.S. specialty crop export.
Cannabis: Is leading the agricultural market financially in 2019 with Billions being made yearly by the growers. It’s a cash crop unlike no other. It is now being offered on the stock market.
Tuna Review: Target Market Pantry Solid White Albacore in Water
12 ounce can of Dolphin Safe $2.79 on SALE $1.99 (Hawaii) This is a good deal for the price. Most of the 12 ounce cans of tuna from the “Big” markets are of lesser quality compared to your name brands. So far this is one is good quality. Name brands prices run any where from $5.99 to $14.99 for a 12 ounce can. I am sure it is cheaper for other states.
“Hey my tuna tastes like Vegetables”…Just kidding..
Not sure why the ingredients include vegetable brooth when it says in water? I thought we wanted it to taste like tuna?
Ingredients vary from manufacture. This can contains: Albacore Tuna, Water, Vegetable Broth, Salt, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate. May also contain Bones.
It does not say what country it was processed or caught in. Mystery fish are becoming more prevalent in our society. Not all Tuna is alike… It does say it CONTAINS TUNA… Hahahahaha. Actually I thought it was a very good tuna for the price.
CONTAINS TUNA … Seriously it’s a can of TUNA
Nutrition Facts:
There are 3 servings per can. I add pickles and Mayo so I get more like 5 servings… I love sweet gherkin pickles. OOohhhh So Yummy!! Ok back to the facts.

Sodium is at 280mg. No Carbs, No Fiber, No sugars and No Added Sugars.
Great News 19 grams of Protein and 220 mg per serving of DHA & EPA OMEGA-3 are present.

Sometimes we forget there are so many healthy benefits to the all natural olives. Support’s a healthy heart and blood sugar, soothes worn down Joints, increases energy levels, skin looks younger, helps brain function and helps distrubute an over all healthy body.
Cheaper or more expensive does not matter. #1 The Quality level of the olive and where it was grown, not “Processed or Made”… “It’s All About The Soil the Olive is Grown in. Just like the grapes that fine wines are made from. Price does not always guarantee a great bottle of wine. We all know the pungent smell of vinegar means the wine has gone bad. But you may not realize you have a bad bottle of olive oil unless it is seriously rancid.
This weeks special. Book now and save $$$$. Promotion ends October 1, 2019
Here is a little secret you need to know before you buy the next bottle of olive oil.
Best Buy Date, Toss it out the window.
Olive oil only has a 3 year window for shelf life from the date the olives were picked, not BEST BY. Try and find an olive oil that has a “DATE: Harvested, Picked or Processed”date stamp rather than “Best By”… Buy only those and no other for assured quality. You may have to look online rather than the store.
It has been said that “America is the worlds dumping ground for rancid and defective olive oil”.Most Americans don’t even realize what a rancid olive oil taste like.
When olive oil goes rancid it develops something called free radicals that attack your system. Leaving you vuldrabule to sickness, premature aging and weight gain.
Once you find the correct brands to use, try and use all of it within 6 months. Better if you can use it within 2 to 3 months.
Potato pancakes are a strong food tradition among Slavic people and I for one can never get enough of them. (In part that’s because the healthy part of my psyche refuses to make them too often out of concern for my arteries!)
But arteries or no arteries you can’t deny that fried potato anything is popular pretty much anywhere you go. So, this idea of combining fried potatoes with meat and serving it in a package caught my attention.
This is not my original recipe but if you’re up for an experiment you might try this — or something similar.
I love playing around with recipes. If you aren’t afraid of the periodic failure, a little dash of this and a splash of that is a good way to teach yourself how to be a better cook. You’ll never forget your crash and burn experiences, and you’ll pick up some…
Cinnamon Rolls with Walnuts You can make this recipe in no time. Very easy and all so yummy.
By Orgnat Life
This yummy recipe is so simple a beginner could achieve 5 STARS first time. Wait there’s is an “IF”.. That is, if you have a bread maker. Most of the models make dough.
I always encourage everyone to get a bread maker. If you are going to make bread and rolls regularly, let the bread maker do the hard work for you.
You can purchase Bridgford Frozen dough at the store, but that defeats the purpose of making your own… NO PRESERVEATIVES… So which ever you choose to fit your life style.
This recipe makes 1.5 lb of dough or 15 large rolls. This is a basic dough recipe for your creative adventures in baking rolls and breads.
Level: Intermediate Yield: 12 servings Total Time: 2 hours 30 mins Cook Time: 30 minutes
Utensils: Bread Maker, rolling pin or a sturdy water glass, measuring cup, measuring set, 2 spoons, sharp knife, 13″ x 9″ pan and something to roll your dough out on. I use a large pizza pan with a small rolling pin.
Dough Recipe If you are using a bread maker place ingredients in container as follows. ⦁ 1 cup Water ⦁ 4 tablespoons Butter cut into tiny pieces ⦁ 1 and 1/2 teaspoons Salt ⦁ 3 cups Unbleached Flour (regular if that is all you have) ⦁ 1 tablespoon sugar ⦁ 2 teaspooons active dry yeast Set menu on bread amker to dough. Depending on your bread maker 90 minutes approximately
If you are using frozen dough it will take about 60 to 90 minutes to thaw. Follow directions on package. You can thaw the dough out in your refridgerator over night if baking in the morning. Bring the dough to room tempreture. Once your dough is ready you can follow the directions below.
Ingredients for Filling ⦁ 1 to 1.5 sticks Butter ⦁ Sugar ⦁ Cinnamon sprinkel to taste ⦁ Walnuts (finely chopped)
While you are waiting on your dough, remove 1.5 sticks of butter from refrigerator so it can soften up. After the butter is soft use up to 1/4 stick of butter and heavily spread butter on pan bottom and sides with a spoon. Cut up 1 to 1 1/2 sticks of cold butter into small pieces and cover the bottom of your pan evenly with the butter. Take 1/4 cup of sugar and lightly sift over the butter. Set that to the side.
As soon as your dough is ready / proofed take it out and knead it one more time. I butter my hands and knead without flour. ⦁ Split it into 4 even sections. ⦁ Roll out 1 section so it is about 1/8″ thick or less. No bigger or you will end up with a doughy roll. ⦁ Butter the dough slightly. ⦁ Sprinkel 3 tablespoons sugar over dough. ⦁ Sprinkel your cinnamom. I like mine a little heavy but I like cinnamon. You can experiment with each section you roll out so in the end you will know what is a good coverage of cinnamon for you. ⦁ Sprinkel your fine chopped Walnuts to taste or make without nuts. ⦁ Take the dough at the edge and start to roll the dough up into a log shape and cut into 3. Place into your pan.
Leave at least 1″ more or less in between each roll. Cover with dish cloth and let rise for 30 minutes or until double to triple the size.
Preheat oven to 350′ degrees prior to cooking Make sure you have at least 4″ inches of room around the rolls, if not, lower the rack.
Cook for 30 minutes in the center of the oven.
Take out of oven let set for 5 minutes. Take a plate or plastic container to size and place on top of pan and flip it over. Leave the pan on top for 5 minutes. Lift pan off and let cool for 15 to 20 minutes.
ENJOY

As the BIG BOOM for “natural dog foods” roll out of the factories, what are the true nutrional values? Not all are as healthy as they claim. Food dyes that are dangerous for humans are coloring your pets food. The regulations are very bleak for pet foods. There is no requirement that pet food products have pre-market approval by the FDA. https://www.fda.gov/animal-veterinary/animal-food-feeds/pet-food
If you don’t know yet that you should be reading the labels on your dog food as well as your food, this is your wake up call. Did you know that awesome colored dog food that is apealing to you could be very dangerous to your pet. The dyes I have listed can have an adverse reactions on your dogs health.
Its not only the pretty colored kibble. Canned dog foods and treats are also included.
We all know that humans need to avoid Red #3 and that it has been linked to cancer. As a result of efforts begun in the 1970s, in 1990 the U.S. FDA had instituted a partial ban on erythrosine, citing research that high doses have been found to cause cancer in rats. A 1990 study concluded that “chronic erythrosine ingestion may promote thyroid tumor formation in rats via chronic stimulation of the thyroid. In June 2008, the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) petitioned the FDA for a complete ban on erythrosine in the United States, but the FDA has not taken any further action.
That is just one of the dangerous dyes for all your pets.
Check out these other dangerous dyes. We need to pay close attention to the labels.
Red #40: Allura Red AC is a red azo dye that goes by several names, including FD&C Red 40. The study found “a possible link between the consumption of these artificial colours and a sodium benzoate preservative and increased hyperactivity”.
Yellow #5 & #6: Tartrazine appears to cause the most allergic and intolerance reactions of all the azo dyes. It also has been known to cause food intolerances. Tartrazine has been used in 3D Printing as a biocompatible photoblocker for generating transparent hydrogels with complex inner structures.
I hope this information provides you with the power of knowledge on these dangerous food dyes in pet foods. Eliminate the colored food from your pets diet and go with the plain colored food.
Just remember… It’s up to us for the care and health of our family pets.
Time consumption of grocery shopping… I am actually having anixety because I have to dedicate a few more hours to my grocery shopping now. Taking my mobile phone in so I can check the ingredients on the labels. Where have the days gone when you could going shopping for an hour or so. Putting our trust in the manufactors of our food products is really become a risky business. Reading labels these days has become a spelling bee, because of the additives. Processed foods have so many additives. In my view food has become unhealthy and toxic.
So many questions I have to ask myself and to remember them all is taxing my brain. It use to be so simple. What is the experation date?
Not only additives but dangerous listeria and E.coli. We need to ask what country is this being processed, made or grown in? Has this item or is it on a recall list? https://www.recalls.gov/
Checking everything is a BIG time consumming task.
Check your labels and look up all the ingredients you don’t know. If you are going to buy any boxed, processed, frozen or fresh meat . I try not to buy pre-packaged foods but sometimes you don’t have a choice. I know you say “no time”. I have found a few ways to curb cooking time.
I bought a bread maker and I now make my own bread. I eat good bread all the time. Unbleached Flour, Salt, Sugar, Butter, Water and only 2 teaspoons of yeast per 2 pounds of dough that I cook in my oven. You can let the bread maker make 1 LB loaves of bread quickly while you do something else. It just turns out a little heavier than I like sometimes. I use those loaves for yummy french toast. But my yeast is cut by 2\3 and so is the sugar compared to store bought bread. Best of all no preservatives.
Don’t get me wrong. I still buy dry pasta and rice. I have no time to make fresh pasta. I occaionally have bought the fresh made pasta at the store. But that comes with preservestives also. Soon I hope to try and make my own. It’s very simple and you can make the dough in a bread maker or food processor. Fresh pasta is a simple homemade treat with a pasta press machine. Endless pasta recipes. So come back for yummy pasta recipes in a few months. Till then check out these Italian Grandmas for recipes. https://youtu.be/wKOgzfgI48c
Let your machines do the work while you enjoy the benefits of a healthy product made by you.
Making meals from “real” food really can be super easy. I bought a Multi Cooker / Pressure cooker and I drop in frozen meat, veggies and seasonings. You’ll have pleanty of time to take a shower or get the kids into the tub. 30 to 45 minutes later you have a meal.
You can prepare most of your veggies ahead of time. You could make it for a whole week while you watch tv. Just put them in a container and refrigerate or freeze them. Or if you must buy frozen vegtables. READ the ingrediant label. Some have preservatives.

I have not laughed like this in so long. Great writing portrays a “Pregnant Virgin”. The turmoils and tribulations she must go through is hilarious episode after episode. The narration at the beginning of every episode is just as funny.. It sets the stage for comedy.
So glad I choose to watch this even if the reviews say prefect for teenagers. I am 58 years old and I say anyone who needs a laugh and a little uplifting to watch. This is just wonderfully written with the chemistry between the actors illuminates every characters hilarious story even further.
I watched all 81 episodes and was left wanting more.

This dog was lucky someone was there who knew what the signs where for rat poison. I would have never guessed.
Hope this never happens to your dog, but if it does here’s what to do for emergency and can’t get to the vet…. Raw eggs… I had never heard of this remedy until now. I have fed my dogs charcoal for the light case from licking the rat. I have never witnessed severe rat poison poisoning in any animal. That poor baby going through those convulsions was heart wrenching.

The sound advise is that you always get a second opinion and compare notes.
When was the last time you took a long look into that mirror? When was the last time you have done the “Me Check”? And if you did, did you ask yourself what have I been thinking???? Mental Check Up is worth a million my friend… If You assume you are “Un-Breakable”, your not. We sometimes forget that we are all humans.
Stop consuming your life and live it
Stop feeling sorry for yourself and start living
Stop Playing the victim and start living
We all need to keep up with these small things that could change our life rapidly into the dark side . Don’t keep that door closed on the “I can’t” corner. Open up and let it go so you can dump off the excess.
Don’t you wonder why we all think that we can not do something. That small hesitation, that we all have right before we are about to board a “Risk”. Our fears take over, even when we know we can.
Don’t be fooled it happens to everyone. You just need the correct tools to combat the negative fields that seem to pile up at times..
Listen to a great inspirational speech by Matthew McConaughey
We all have that moment when we can change it to reflect the positive. Just remember we can all find ourselves on the positive side when we let go of the excess. You might ask what is excess. That you must ask yourself. What makes you crazy, your fears, the negative influences. You’ll find it when you start to look for it. Then You Can Open That Door and Throw It Away.

CBD’s Crystal Isolates is a high-end vapor liquid and oral drops infused with premium CBD rich hemp oil.
CBD is a natural constituent of CBD oil. Every supplement produces is 100% natural, containing all organic natural flavoring, and is safe for topical use.
THC is a wonderful way to get your medicine dispensed so you can get a good nights rest.
Naomi Osaka was not only robbed by Serena Williams for the greatest win of her life, but Osaka was robbed by the crowd.
On Saturday afternoon, 20-year-old Naomi Osaka, the new U.S. Open champion and first-time grand slam winner, stood on the stage and pushed her visor down to cover her eyes, and cried. These were not tears of joy. Naomi Osaka just had an outstanding game against her idol Serena Williams. Which she won and the crowd was booing loudly. Serena Williams placed her arm around Naomi Osaka in solidarity in hopes of showing sportsmanship to the booing crowd.
Osaka earned every bit of her victory. Serena’s blowout with chair umpire Carlos Ramos overshadowed her win. Ramos called a series of violations against Williams, ultimately resulting in a game penalty at a crucial moment in the final of a grand slam. The penalty put Osaka only one game away from the title.
Congratulations to Naomi Osaka U.S. Open Women’s 2018 Champion.

Owners of senior and child care centers charged with human trafficking
A family of four running several senior and child care centers in San Mateo County has been charged with human trafficking and other labor-related charges, California Atty. Gen. Xavier Becerra said Friday.
The defendants — Joshua Gamos, 42; Noel Gamos, 40; Gerlen Gamos, 38; and Carlina Gamos, 67 — are accused of holding employees of the Rainbow Bright day-care centers against their will, failing to pay them minimum wage and overtime pay, and abusing them verbally, physically and psychologically.
The alleged abuse took place between 2008 and 2017, according to the complaint.
The charges are the result of a yearlong investigation by the attorney general’s office’s Tax Recovery and Criminal Enforcement Task Force, which involved the collaboration of multiple agencies including the U.S. Department of Labor and law enforcement departments in Daly City, South San Francisco and Pacifica.
The Task Forces across our great country are working over time to bring these animals we call humans to justice. I just hope they find the kids that have been stolen.
HIV type 1 & type 2 antibody/antigen (4th gen), herpes type 1 & type 2, hepatitis A, hepatitis B & hepatitis C, chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis
If you are wondering what an STD is:
An STD is a sexually transmitted disease; an infection that is transmitted through oral, vaginal or anal sex, intravenous drug use or through nonsexual contact such as childbirth or breastfeeding. According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates, there are 19 million reported STD cases each year in the United States. STDs are common and it is possible to be infected without being aware because many STDs do not display obvious signs or symptoms. STD testing once or twice every year is recommended. Regular STD testing is a great way to protect your sexual health as well as the health of your partner.
Why Should I get tested for STDs?
Everyone that is sexually active should be tested regularly. Take charge of your sexual health. Some STDs, like chlamydia and gonorrhea, may not display any symptoms at all, but are still just as contagious. Especially get tested if you experience any of these common STD symptoms: Genital sores, itching, unusual discharge from the penis or vagina, or a burning sensation during urination. Some people assume that they are tested for STDs when they have a Pap test or physical, but often this is not the case. There is no comprehensive test for all STDs because each test is specific to an infection. If you have STD symptoms, or have had unprotected sex, it is crucial that you and your partner get tested. By getting an STD test, you can officially put your mind at ease– After all, the most common STD symptoms is to have no symptoms at all.
How do I know if I have an STD?
You can have an STD and not know it due to a lack of symptoms. For instance, you can contract chlamydia or gonorrhea and not have the infection treated due to lack of bumps, rashes or itching. The “silent” nature of STDs helps explain why these infections are so widespread as so many individuals are simply unaware that they have one or more and they spread them unknowingly. Help put an end to the spread of STDs and help protect yourself by learning your status.
Where can I get STD testing?
Contact your doctor or Health Department for testing.
Is oral sex safe sex?
Simply put, no. You are just as vulnerable to STDs from unprotected oral sex, whether you are the giver or the recipient, as you are with any other unprotected sexual activity. Oral sex may be comparatively less risky than vaginal or anal sex, but it is still advisable to use a latex or polyurethane condom, or dental dam in order to be safer. STDs can be transmitted through mouth sores and/or cuts, and some infections, such as herpes, can be spread via skin-to-skin contact. While condoms are not 100% effective in preventing all STDs, they greatly decrease the risk of transmitting an STD during oral sex.
How does your lab perform STD testing?
STD lab tests rely on either a small urine sample (for detecting chlamydia and/or gonorrhea) or a small blood sample (for detecting herpes, syphilis, hepatitis and/or HIV). You will be subjected to any uncomfortable physical exams and vaginal/penile swabbing is required.
Most sexually transmitted diseases do not show symptoms, making it possible to be infected with an STD and not know it. Did you know that if you have one STD, you may have multiple STDs? You should have a 10 Test STD Panel that tests for all the most common bacterial and viral STDs—including HIV type 1 & type 2 antibody/antigen (4th gen), herpes type 1 & type 2, hepatitis A, hepatitis B & hepatitis C, chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis. Comprehensive testing gives you peace of mind.
HIV RNA Early Detection test is the only FDA-approved test that detects the virus directly by screening for its RNA genetic material in your bloodstream, as such this HIV test is able to deliver conclusive results as soon as 9 to 11 days after potential HIV exposure.

We had to fix a little BOOBOO I created. I was going to rip up the kitchen tile, but now have decided to wait until next summer.
I decided to cut the tile down another 1/4 inch from where it was originally for the cabinet bases to fit properly without an issue. I can always put a wider baseboard along the bottom of cabinets until next summer.
I set my blade depth so I only cut the tile.
I used water. The little bottle I snipped a little more from the tip and wet down the tile.Kept the bottle to the rear of the saw and squirt the blade from behind it.
It helped a little but not much since the exhaust comes out of the side actually.
I am very impressed with what ease I had cutting the tile today. The Dremel “Saw Max” cut right through the tile. No vibration or jerking. Cut straight and true to the line.
You might want to use the vacuum hose connector to collect the dust. That was my only issue was dust and that was limited.
Now I can take out the remaining tile without chipping into it and breaking it.
This is my 3rd application using the Dremel “Saw Max” and I Love It. Great tool, all in one little mighty saw Dremel “Saw Max”.
One For The “DO NOT DO THIS” FILE: What ever you do do not use the SAW MAX for drywall INSIDE the house.
That was my first experience with my “saw Max”. My regular dremel broke in the middle of the project. I ended up with the “Saw Max” and blowing drywall dust all over every thing in my house. Better to use the regular Dremel with a drywall bit for drywall applications..
