Influenza Season Has Arrived…

Flu is caused by influenza virus of Class A, B and C. Flu spreads directly or indirectly from airborne droplets produced during sneezing or coughing.

Following are the symptoms of flu:

  • Fever
  • Malaise
  • Headache
  • Runny nose
  • Postnasal drip
  • Sneezing
  • Reduced sense of smell
  • Metallic taste in mouth
  • Chills
  • Cough
  • Body pain or muscle pain
  • Sore throat

Take Three Actions to Protect Against Flu

  1. Get Vaccinated
  2. Take preventive steps
  3. Get Treatment

Preventive Steps You Can Take NOW

  • Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
  • While sick, limit contact with others as much as possible to keep from infecting them.
  • If you are sick with flu-like illness, CDC recommends that you stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone except to get medical care or for other necessities. (Your fever should be gone for 24 hours without the use of a fever-reducing medicine.)
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. After using a tissue, throw it in the trash and wash your hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Germs spread this way.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with germs like flu.

Most of the time flu goes away without treatment. Taking medication can help relieve symptoms. Bed rest will help in faster recovery. Medication

Wild remedies to make you better from your friends on FB

FB STATUS OF MY FRIEND:

I literally just ate a half of garlic to try and fight off the virus. The doctor just said to drink lots of fluids and eat chicken soup which I’ve done for the past eight days and now I’m just gonna have to drastically just eat garlic because you know I’m sick of being sick if anybody has any other ideas please write them below:

Then the remedies come in….

My comment was…

I say collect all these ingredients from everyone in this conversation, get a roasting pan, get the BBQ going (snow or not, ice melts). When the coals settle down place the pan over the coals, Jump into the pan cover yourself up with the ingredients. Put that aluminum survival blanket over you and roast for a few days. Well come by in a few days and see if your done. P/S don’t forget to slather on some coconut oil prior to the ingredient list…Happy Holidays my friend… hahahaha
